Welcome
Camp S.K.A.M.P. is a truly unique place - a place most people don't know about and still fewer will ever experience first hand. Camp S.K.A.M.P. (which stands for Special Kids And Meaningful People) was started back in the 1970s as a camp for kids with disabilities who were turned away by other summer camps who could not accomodate their needs. Over the years Camp has continued to grow into what it is today. Campers from all over the South have come to learn and play under the S.K.A.M.P. umbrella. With activities such as swimming, crafts and recreation, these kids now have the same opportunity as others to experience first hand the fun of summer camp, while never having to worry about whether or not they can be properly accomodated.
